how to take a upgrade part off a weapon? - Guild Wars Forums

when i ID some item i got, it says i got somekind handle or bow string. how can i gain this item and put it on another weapon?

Expert Salvage Kit.

Keep in mind its not a guarantee you will remove the upgrade componant and if there are multiple compnants on an item you only have a chance to salvage one of them.

If you have succesfully removed the upgrade comp, just double click it (if its a bow string it looks like a squigily string in your inventory, sword hilt... and so on) and then click on the item you wish to apply it too.
